New: Updates to the “Rowing Stronger” Book
Five-year updates and reflections on my coaching in 2024 versus 2019
I have been looking at my book for the last year or so and thinking that it’s time for an update. The First Edition came out in 2015, Second Edition in 2019, so on that pattern there was an understandable uptick in questions in 2023 about a Third Edition. However, I already know I won’t have time this year to go back into the whole rewriting process. I’d expect that to take about a year to production from whenever I actually start writing.
To hold everyone over, I’ve written a “Five-Year Update” available as a supplemental PDF for $5. It details major things that I’m doing differently now that I’d include in a Third Edition. This started out as a short post with the bullet points below and links to articles and videos where I’ve already done more on the topics. I noticed some gaps in those, so I wrote some more to tie things together and recorded some new demo videos to add detail, and it grew to article-length. I made some training templates and sample programs from my current coaching to show how the concepts come together, and then it seemed like more of a standalone resource.
The update is just under 40 pages, about half text and half training programs and templates with explanations of when and how I use each one. If you want to save the $5, you can read the articles that I’ve linked below and put the concepts into action yourself. If you buy a book in print or ebook from today onward, the supplemental PDF is included with no price increase. If you bought a book recently and feel screwed by this, please just email me with some sort of proof of purchase and I’ll send you the update for free.
